Job Description: Cisco’s Leaders in Finance and Technology (LIFT) Program – Internship
This posting advertises potential future openings for a 10-week summer internship in Cisco’s Finance department, based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The program is part of a larger two-year rotational program for Financial Analysts. The internship is open to rising seniors and recent graduates.
Responsibilities:
Interns will:
• Participate in Cisco’s fiscal year close process.
• Contribute to a finance team’s success in a substantive role. Specific tasks vary based on team assignment (e.g., Financial Planning & Analysis, Managing Operating Expenses, Commercial Finance, Accounting).
• Work on a team project addressing a real Cisco business challenge, presenting findings and recommendations to the U.S. finance community and relevant collaborators.
• Collaborate with finance leaders, cross-functional teams, and other early-career professionals.
• Transform data into actionable insights.
• Develop business acumen and skills needed for future finance leadership.
• Attend various networking and professional development events.
Qualifications:
• Minimum: Actively pursuing a degree at a 4-year university, having completed six semesters of undergraduate study; availability to work June 2 – August 8, 2025; legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Preferred: Demonstrated proficiency in finance principles and Excel; excellent communication and collaborative skills; leadership roles in student organizations, sports, extracurricular activities, study abroad experience, or balancing a full-time job while studying. A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related field (or a recent graduate entering a master’s program in accounting or finance with no gap between degrees) is desired. A passion for finance, leadership, and technology; an open-minded attitude towards feedback; and comfort working in fast-paced environments are also preferred.
