Job Description: Cisco Leaders in Finance and Technology (LIFT) Internship Program
This posting advertises potential job opportunities for a 10-week summer internship within Cisco’s Finance organization, based in Raleigh, North Carolina. The internship is part of the broader LIFT program, which also includes a 2-year full-time rotational program. The exact role isn’t currently open, but applications are accepted until further notice. Responsibilities:
• Fiscal Year Close: Work within Cisco Finance during the fiscal year-end close process.
• Substantive Finance Role: Contribute directly to the success of a finance team. The specific work varies depending on the assigned team, with possibilities including Financial Planning & Analysis, Managing Operating Expenses, Commercial Finance, and Accounting.
• Intern Team Project: Collaborate on a project focused on a real Cisco business challenge, presenting findings and recommendations to the U.S. finance community and relevant collaborators.
• Networking and Collaboration: Interact with finance leaders, cross-functional teams, and other early-career professionals.
• Data Analysis: Transform data into actionable insights to solve business problems.
• Skill Development: Learn business acumen and skills needed for a future finance leadership role.
• Professional Development Events: Participate in events to expand your professional network and career development.
Qualifications:
• Minimum:
• Actively pursuing a degree at a 4-year university, having completed six semesters of undergraduate studies.
• Availability to participate in the internship program from June 2nd – August 8th, 2025.
• Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without visa sponsorship.
• Preferred:
• Demonstrated proficiency in finance principles and strong Excel skills.
• Excellent communication, attention to detail, and collaborative spirit.
• Involvement in leadership roles within student organizations or clubs, sports, extracurricular activities, or study abroad programs.
• Experience balancing a full-time job while attending school.
Eligibility:
• Rising college senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, or a related business field.
• Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree entering a 1-year master’s program in accounting or finance (no gap between undergrad and master’s).
• Demonstrated passion for finance, leadership, and technology.
• Open-mindedness and willingness to accept constructive feedback.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments.
