Cisco Leaders in Finance and Technology (LIFT) Program

Cisco’s LIFT Program offers both a 10-week summer internship program and a full-time 2-year rotational program for Financial Analysts. Both programs are based in Raleigh, North Carolina.

Internship Program

Duration: 10 weeks, June 2 – August 8, 2025
Location: Raleigh, North Carolina

Who You’ll Work With:

As an intern, you’ll join Cisco’s global finance organization and collaborate with business partners across all departments, including sales and engineering. You’ll also network with fellow interns, team members, managers, and senior leaders.

What You’ll Do:

Contribute to Cisco’s fiscal year close: Participate in key finance processes.
Engage in a substantive finance role: Work directly on projects and contribute to the success of your team. Possible areas include Financial Planning & Analysis, Managing Operating Expenses, Commercial Finance, and Accounting.
Work on a team project: Collaborate with other interns on a project addressing a real business challenge for Cisco. Present your findings and recommendations to finance leaders and collaborators.
Develop your skills and network: Collaborate with finance leaders, cross-functional teams, and early career professionals.
Transform data into actionable insights: Use data analysis to address business challenges.
Learn and develop leadership skills: Gain the skills and knowledge necessary to become a future finance leader.
Attend events: Expand your professional network and career development through events.

Who You Are:

Rising college senior: Enrolled in a 4-year university with six semesters of undergraduate studies completed.
Recent graduate: Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree heading into a 1-year master’s program in accounting or finance with no gap between undergrad and master’s.
Passionate: Strong interest in finance, leadership, and technology.
Open-minded: Open to constructive feedback and willing to learn and grow.
Communicator: Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
Adaptable: Comfortable working in fast-paced and evolving environments.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Enrolled in a 4-year university with six semesters of undergraduate studies completed.
• Available to start the internship program from June 2 – August 8, 2025.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without visa support or sponsorship.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Proficiency in finance principles and Excel.
• Excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and collaboration skills.
• Involvement in leadership roles, clubs, sports, or extracurricular activities.
• Study abroad experience.
• Experience balancing a full-time job with school.
