Job Description: Finance Intern

AEC is seeking an intern to support various improvement projects within its Finance department. The internship is a day shift position (Monday-Friday, 7:00 am – 3:30 pm).

Responsibilities:

This internship offers a diverse range of responsibilities, encompassing general support, rate support, administrative duties, and special projects. Specific tasks include:

*General Support:• • Assisting with managing Ops Finance program reviews and reporting.
• Supporting KPI reports and reviews for monthly metrics.
• Assisting with proposals and quotes.

*Rate Support:• • Downloading and organizing indirect budget spends from various groups.
• Participating in weekly meetings with relevant groups.
• Contributing to quarterly EAC (Earned Value Management) work.
• Aiding with monthly program spend and Work In Progress (WIP) reports.
• Tracking schedules and ensuring adherence to contractual requirements.
• Supporting data management.
• Assisting with EAC presentations.

*Administrative Duties:• • Maintaining EAC files and master records.
• Providing support for timekeeping floor checks and customer service activities.
• Assisting in closing out activities for completed contracts.

*Special Projects:• • Assisting in the conversion of EAC processes to automated workflows.

Qualifications:

• Actively pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in a Business-related field (Contracts certificate is a plus).
• A GPA of 3.0 or higher.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Ability to commute to the AEC facility.
• Must be a US Person (as per Department of Defense Contractor requirements; visa sponsorship is not available).
