What You’ll Actually Do
• Patient Account Analysis: Conduct thorough analysis and detailed research pertaining to patient accounts. This responsibility is crucial to ensure that all financial records are accurate and align with established accounting principles and practices.
• Payment Root Cause Analysis: Systematically analyze the underlying root causes of insurance payments that are either incorrect or have been denied. This involves investigating discrepancies to identify systemic issues and facilitate their resolution, ultimately improving payment accuracy.
• Month-End Closing Support: Actively participate in financial projects by gathering essential data. This data collection directly supports the creation of appropriate entries required for accurate and timely month-end closing procedures, contributing to financial reporting integrity.
• Revenue Optimization Projects: Engage in and support projects specifically focused on enhancing and optimizing revenue streams for the organization. This involves contributing to initiatives aimed at improving financial performance and efficiency across various operations.
• Assigned Goal Completion: Diligently complete all assigned financial goals and objectives. This includes adhering to project timelines and delivering quality outcomes that contribute to the overall strategic aims of the finance department and the organization.

The Must-Haves
• Background: This is an Entry-Level opportunity. Prospective candidates should currently be working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, having completed substantial upper-division coursework in the field. Graduate students who already possess an Accounting Degree are also highly encouraged to apply. The organization will also consider applicants with other relevant degrees and coursework, demonstrating a strong foundation in financial principles.
• Experience: Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in utilizing spreadsheets, such as Microsoft Excel, for data analysis and financial modeling. Additionally, familiarity and competence with other relevant software and technology solutions used in financial functions are required to effectively manage tasks.
• Skills: Possess strong analytical capabilities to interpret complex financial data and identify trends or discrepancies. Exhibit good communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey financial information. Be highly detail-oriented, ensuring precision in all tasks, and demonstrate good time management skills to handle multiple projects efficiently.
