Job Description:
This Finance Internship is with the Studio Deal Analysis team. The intern will collaborate with various Disney Studio partners, including Disney Live Action, Marvel, Lucasfilm, Pixar, Disney Animation, 20th Century Studios, and Searchlight Pictures. The key responsibilities include:
• Analyzing Studio Profitability: Collaborate with studio partners to analyze the overall profitability of studio productions.
• Film P&L Management: Develop and manage film profit and loss (P&L) statements from inception to post-release. This includes evaluating profit/loss, net present value (NPV), and internal rate of return (IRR) for individual films and multi-picture portfolios.
• Operating Plan Updates: Update current year and annual operating plan theatrical film slates as needed.
• Reporting and Presentations: Assist in the creation of reports and presentations for management.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
• Experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with budget and forecasting analysis.
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with data analytics and presenting findings.
• Ability to thrive in fast-paced environments, stay organized under pressure, and balance multiple projects while prioritizing effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Previous experience in the entertainment industry.
• Enrollment in (or recent graduation from within 6 months of application) an accredited college/university in Finance, Accounting, Business, Entertainment, or a related field. Must be enrolled in at least one class during the semester/quarter prior to the internship. Current participation in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship is also acceptable.
Eligibility Requirements:
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must not have completed one year of continuous employment in a Disney internship or program.
• Must possess unrestricted work authorization.
Additional Information:
• Internship dates: May 2025 through August 2025.
• Work schedule: 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9 am – 6 pm PST, onsite in Burbank, CA.
• Housing and transportation are the responsibility of the intern.
• Pay rate: $22 per hour in California. Select benefits may be offered.
