Finance Internship
The Finance Internship is a full-time, in-person opportunity during the summer 2025 internship program (May or June 2025 start date).
Responsibilities:
• Learn the financial metrics used for budgeting, forecasting, and analyzing the business.
• Create, maintain, and document reports and financial data.
• Conduct financial analysis, including monthly expenses and modeling Pro-Forma’s of current communities and new acquisitions.
• Learn the broader business strategy and participate in cross-functional projects with other interns and business leaders.
• Work closely with internal business leaders to gain knowledge of the homebuilding industry, the Meritage business model, and an assigned functional area (e.g., construction, land, marketing, operations, purchasing, finance, human resources).
• Understand and apply Meritage Homes’ core values.
• Participate in cross-functional projects centered around current business challenges.
• Present real-world business recommendations to senior leadership.
• Write a paper focusing on the internship experience or another assigned topic.
Qualifications:
Required:
• Actively enrolled in a degree program from a regionally accredited university or college.
• Strong work ethic and integrity.
• Passion for work and a positive attitude.
• Desire to win, get things done, and foster an inclusive environment.
• Willingness to ask questions, seek understanding, and make recommendations for improvement.
• Commitment to innovation, developing new ideas, and solving problems.

Preferred:
• Experience working in a team environment on cross-team or functional projects.
• Experience handling ambiguity.
• Experience in a leadership capacity or role, influencing peers.
• Relevant coursework in Business Administration, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Marketing, Real Estate, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Project Management.
