Finance Intern – 2026 Summer Internship Program
Howmet Fastening Systems (HFS) is seeking a highly motivated and energetic Finance Intern for our Torrance, California location to join our 2026 summer intern program.

About the Internship Program
The Howmet Fastening Systems Summer Internship Program is a structured 10-12 week hands-on training experience designed to provide invaluable professional development. Interns will engage in impactful projects that add direct value to the business and their professional growth. The program includes:
- Plant tours
- Seminars
- Networking events
- Meaningful projects
At the conclusion of the program, interns will present their projects to plant managers, supervisors, and mentors. Our goal is to evaluate interns for potential entry-level openings within Howmet Aerospace.
Role and Responsibilities
This Finance Intern position will report directly to the site’s Finance Manager, receiving daily coaching from the team. A key project for this internship involves:
- Fixed Asset Photos & Inventory: Locating and photographing all fixed assets within the plant, then uploading them into corporate forms for integration into the corporate fixed asset database.
Additional Requirements
- Able to work full-time, onsite for a minimum of 12 consecutive weeks beginning in May or June 2026.
- Able to provide own transportation for the position at Torrance, California.
- Relocation assistance is not provided.
Basic Qualifications
- Must be enrolled in a bachelor’s degree or graduate degree program by the start of employment.
- Minimum completion of Sophomore level coursework from an accredited institution.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Teams, etc.). Must be proficient working in a Microsoft systems environment. Excel proficiency is required.
- Employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Preferred Qualifications
- Basic programming recommended.
- Prior internship work experience.
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Mathematics from an accredited institution.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent analytical skills.
Compensation
The salary for this position is $25 per hour.
