Finance Intern

We are seeking a motivated and people-oriented Finance Intern to work closely with the Chartwells Management Finance team. This internship will provide a practical and educational experience, allowing you to apply your academic knowledge in a professional setting.

Key Focus Areas:

Field Accounting: Review contracts, charitable contributions, payroll accruals, closed cost centers, maintenance requests, and conduct paperwork audits. Assist with monthly close.
Operations: Assist with local new unit openings under the guidance of the Field Accounting team.
New Business Finance: Support budget review and analysis, assist with flash review and analysis.
Payroll: Gain knowledge of payroll processes, document retention, and assist with processing payroll work orders.

Qualifications:

• Must be pursuing a degree in accounting or finance.
• Must be an undergraduate student.
• General interest and knowledge in finance.
• Intermediate level proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a drive for excellence and high performance.
• Strong desire for continuous learning and process improvements.
• Excellent interpersonal, analytical, listening, and verbal communication skills.
• Strong time management and organizational skills.

• Develop an understanding and practical skills necessary to work in a diverse financial environment.
• Gain experience in various aspects of finance and accounting.
• Apply theoretical knowledge to real-world scenarios.
