What You’ll Actually Do
• Prepare Financial Reports: Assist with preparing, reviewing, and analyzing financial statements and reports to support decision-making and client engagements.
• Support Accounting Operations: Support daily accounting activities including reconciliations, data entry, and tracking expenses.
• Conduct Financial Analysis: Perform financial analysis and basic forecasting.
• Compile Financial Insights: Help compile presentations and summaries of financial insights and communicate findings to team members.
• Maintain Financial Records: Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Entry-Level. Candidates should have relevant coursework in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or Business Administration, encompassing foundational finance skills, understanding of financial statements, and basic accounting principles.
• Experience: No prior professional experience required. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other office productivity tools is beneficial.
• Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret data and identify trends, foundational finance skills including knowledge of budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, ability to understand and work with financial statements (balance sheets, income statements, cash flow statements), clear and professional communication skills, and basic accounting skills (journal entries, reconciliations, general ledger concepts).
• Bonus: Strong attention to detail, integrity in handling financial information, and willingness to learn.
