Finance Intern | GenScript
The Tone:
This is a full-time internship at GenScript, located in Piscataway, NJ. GenScript accelerates innovation in biotech and healthcare by providing essential building blocks needed to develop groundbreaking treatments and products, serving over 200,000 customers across more than 100 countries. This role supports the finance team with daily administrative tasks and basic financial operations, offering a crucial opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a corporate finance environment.
The TL;DR

• Team: Supports the finance team
• Mission: Supports the finance team by handling administrative tasks and basic financial operations to ensure smooth departmental function.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Document Management: Assist in organizing, filing, and scanning financial documents.
• Data Maintenance: Maintain and update relevant data within financial systems.
• Reconciliation Support: Support monthly reconciliations and assist in collecting necessary documentation.
• Compliance Assistance: Assist with the handling and documentation of tax exemption certificates and the issuance of Certificates of Insurance.
• General Administration: Provide general administrative support to the finance department, including meeting scheduling, document printing, and handling courier/mail.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Entry-level, with basic knowledge of accounting and cash management principles.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience in cashier, treasury, or finance operations; internships are welcome.
• Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Excel; highly organized with strong attention to detail and accuracy; good communication skills and ability to work well within a team; trustworthy with a strong sense of responsibility and confidentiality.
• Bonus: Experience with ERP or online banking systems.
