Position Title: Finance Intern
Reports To: Director of Finance
Supervises: None
Classification: Hourly, non-exempt, non-union
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
The Finance Intern will perform a range of financial and administrative tasks to support the finance department. Key responsibilities include:
• Performing basic accounting and finance tasks.
• Assisting with Accounts Receivable (AR) and Accounts Payable (AP) functions.
• Supporting month-end and year-end closing activities.
• Conducting bank reconciliations and assisting with cash flow tracking.
• Creating and maintaining financial spreadsheets.
• Assisting in financial analysis.
• Supporting the development and implementation of work instructions.
• Organizing files as needed.
• Participating in internal audits and ensuring compliance with company policies.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams on finance-related projects.
• Performing additional duties as assigned.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, the candidate must meet the following criteria:
• Minimum Education: A high school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Experience: At least one year of related experience and/or equivalent education & experience.
• Technical Data Access: Employment is contingent upon meeting requirements for access to ITAR and/or EAR-controlled technical data (must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual, or the company must obtain an export license).
• Professional Skills:
• Professional phone etiquette.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multi-task.
• Work Location: The position is primarily required to be on-site, with occasional work-from-home possible with supervisor approval.

Working Conditions:
This is a part-time position with a typical schedule of Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. An alternate schedule may be arranged based on business needs.
• Flexibility: Occasional flexibility to work evenings or weekends may be required.
• Remote Work: After-hours and/or weekend work may be performed remotely if capability exists.
• Travel: Little to no travel is expected.
• Environment: Primarily operates in an office environment, but may assist in other departments, including occasional exposure to production equipment and machinery.
• Pace: The employee will manage multiple daily priorities and may experience frequent interruptions. The environment may be busy and noisy.
• Safety: All required personal protective equipment is provided.
Physical Demands:
The role primarily involves sedentary activities:
• Spending most time sitting, using computers, and standard office equipment (phones, photocopiers, fax machines).
• Occasional moving and/or lifting of up to 10 pounds.
• Occasional stooping, bending, and reaching with hands and arms.
• Regularly required to see, talk, and hear.
