Finance Graduate Development Program Analyst | EnerSys

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at EnerSys, located in Reading, PA. EnerSys is a global leader in stored energy solutions for industrial applications, operating over thirty manufacturing and assembly plants worldwide and servicing more than 10,000 customers across 100+ countries. The company complements its extensive line of Motive Power and Energy Systems with a full range of integrated services and systems. This program offers a three-year opportunity for high-potential individuals to gain essential experience, skills, and exposure within the finance department, preparing them for potential permanent roles within the organization.

• Team: Rotates through Internal Audit, General Accounting, Cost Accounting, & FP&A within the Finance department.
• Mission: To cultivate financial acumen and leadership skills through diverse rotational assignments, contributing to process improvement and gaining a comprehensive understanding of EnerSys’s business operations.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), Large Language Models (Chat GPT, CoPilot, Claude), AI tools, coding, automation tools, Azure

What You’ll Actually Do
Rotate through Functions: Engage in varied tasks across Internal Audit, General Accounting, Cost Accounting, and FP&A to gain broad departmental experience.
Implement Improvements: Identify and apply process enhancements to existing workflows utilizing EOS (EnerSys Operating System) techniques.
Document Processes: Create clear and concise documentation for various financial processes.
Participate in Development: Actively contribute to the AI Finance Working Group and engage in leadership and other skill development programs.
Assist with Operations: Provide support for annual physical counts and undertake various ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, or an equivalent field. This is an early career opportunity.
• Experience: No specific years of experience are required; however, candidates should possess a desire to pursue higher education, CPA, or other relevant certifications.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word; strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; and effective oral and written communication skills for professional interactions.
• Bonus: Experience with Large Language Models (e.g., Chat GPT, CoPilot) and AI tools; familiarity with coding and automation tools such as Claude and Azure; capability to present findings and data to various audiences up to the Executive level; and qualities such as high motivation, creativity in solution-finding, flexibility, initiative, curiosity, and a positive, servant attitude.
