Job Description: Finance Automation Consulting Intern – Summer 2025
This internship offers a unique opportunity for aspiring finance professionals to gain hands-on experience in consulting and automation. The internship is a full-time, hybrid position based in Dallas, TX, with a competitive compensation package of $31/hr – $38/hr.
Responsibilities:
• Client Consulting: Work directly with accounting, financial, operational, and other management personnel to improve their business processes.
• Implementation Projects: Assist with the implementation of new systems and solutions, including assessment, troubleshooting, and testing.
• Client Training & Support: Provide guidance to clients on the effective use of products to meet their specific needs.
• Process Analysis & Optimization: Employ analytical skills to identify areas for improvement in client processes.
• Documentation & Project Management: Maintain detailed records of work and manage projects effectively.
• Collaboration: Work within a collaborative team environment, leveraging teamwork skills for successful outcomes.
• Sales Process Participation: Gain insight into the sales process within a consulting environment.
• Travel: Occasional client travel may be required.
Qualifications:
• Required:
• Minimum of 90 credit hours completed towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Management Information Systems, or a related IT field.
• Minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Demonstrated proficiency in accounting skills, data assimilation, and teamwork.
• Preferred:
• Relevant work experience in accounting, operations, or performance improvement consulting.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills (both written and verbal), with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear and concise language.
• Demonstrated ability to anticipate and address client concerns and issues.
• Experience with operational process reviews and basic internal control requirements.
• Experience with corporate or industry accounting.
• Proven ability to break down complex issues into manageable project steps and problem solve.
• Effective facilitation skills for client and project team interactions at all organizational levels.
