Finance & Accounting Analyst | Kobie
The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Kobie, located remotely, with headquarters in St. Petersburg, Florida. This role is central to providing critical financial insight and operational data, enabling informed business decisions and fostering collaboration between Accounting, Finance, and Client Services.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting Ownership: Own recurring month-end close responsibilities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and client accrual file updates and record-keeping for assigned client accounts.
• Invoicing & Accuracy: Manage the full invoicing cycle for assigned client accounts, including usage loads and invoice creation, while maintaining accuracy between GL and BS accounts.
• Financial Reporting: Update and validate revenue in Planful, support monthly reporting deliverables like SG&A and COGS reviews, and contribute to Monthly Business Review materials.
• Data Validation: Partner with client and department leads to validate member counts, billed and worked hours, and new business data feeding into financial reporting.
• Process Improvement & Partnership: Identify and help implement opportunities to improve close and reporting processes, serving as a connector between Accounting, Finance, Client Services, and Management.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience); Early Career.
• Experience: 2-4 years of accounting or blended finance/accounting experience, including exposure to month-end close and invoicing; demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid work environment.
• Skills: Advanced Excel (lookups, pivots, large data validation); working knowledge of general ledger accounting (debits and credits, accruals, prepaid expenses, and account reconciliations); variance analysis and reporting.
• Bonus: Preferred experience leveraging generative AI tools; experience with Planful.
