Finance & Accounting Analyst | Kobie

As a Finance & Accounting Analyst, you will play a crucial role at the intersection of accounting and finance, providing essential financial insights that drive informed business decisions and contribute to continuous improvement. • Mission: To own core accounting processes while supporting operational metrics, forecasts, revenue validation, and monthly reporting that leadership relies on for business performance understanding.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Accounting: Own recurring month-end close responsibilities, including reconciliations, journal entries, and client accrual file updates and record-keeping for assigned client accounts.
• Invoicing: Manage the full invoicing cycle, including usage loads, invoice and credit memo creation, approval documentation, and client delivery on monthly and weekly cadences.
• Financial Planning: Update and validate client-level revenue in Planful, ensuring operational data and the financial system of record remain synchronized.
• Reporting: Support monthly financial reporting deliverables, including SG&A and COGS reviews, margin-by-line-of-business analysis, and billable/productivity dashboards.
• Partnership: Serve as a connector between Accounting, Finance, Client Services, and Management to ensure data and narrative consistency across close, reporting, and forecasting.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or a related field, with foundational knowledge of general ledger accounting principles.
• Experience: 2-4 years of accounting or blended finance/accounting experience, including exposure to month-end close and invoicing, and demonstrated ability to work effectively in a remote or hybrid environment.
• Skills: Advanced Excel proficiency (lookups, pivots, large data validation), working knowledge of general ledger accounting (debits, credits, accruals, prepaid expenses, account reconciliations), and variance analysis and reporting.
• Bonus: Experience with Planful and preferred experience leveraging generative AI tools.
