What You’ll Actually Do
• Research: Conduct legal research and assist attorneys in analyzing case information.
• Drafting: Prepare, review, and file legal documents such as pleadings, discovery requests, and responses.
• Trial Support: Assist attorneys with trial preparation, including organizing case materials, drafting motions, and preparing witness lists.
• Communication: Communicate professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court staff, and other involved parties.
• Records Management: Manage and organize physical and electronic case files and documents, ensuring accuracy.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Paralegal certificate from an accredited institution with core domain knowledge in family law.
• Experience: 2 to 5 years of experience as a paralegal specifically in the family law field.
• Skills: Strong legal research and writing abilities; proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research software; capability to multitask and manage priorities; excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
