About the Job
This is a Fall Internship position within the Information Security department at Sony Pictures Entertainment, offered through its Emerging Talent Programs for students. The role primarily involves assisting in Incident Response events and collaborating with various teams to bolster overall security measures.
Job Summary:
The internship provides a unique opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience in information security. The core focus will be on Incident Response, where the intern will play a supportive role in managing security incidents and contributing to the enhancement of security protocols across the organization.
Detailed Responsibilities:
• Incident Response Support: Provide direct assistance during security incident response events, covering both corporate and subsidiary environments.
• Threat Intelligence Collaboration: Work closely with Threat Intelligence teams to stay informed about emerging and existing security threats.
• Detection Enhancement: Aid in the implementation of new alerts and controls designed to improve the company’s security detection capabilities.
• Forensic Data Analysis: Collect and analyze forensic data as required during ongoing Incident Response activities.
• Program Maturation: Contribute to the continuous improvement and maturation of the Incident Response program, with a particular emphasis on automation initiatives and refining existing processes.
• Documentation Development: Develop, maintain, and continually improve incident response playbooks, standard operating procedures, and comprehensive knowledge base documentation.

• Academic Background: Currently pursuing an undergraduate degree (Bachelor of Science) in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, or a similar relevant technical field.

• Technical Background: Prior technical knowledge and understanding of cloud computing, network infrastructures, and web technologies.
