Job Description
FGS Global’s Washington, DC office is seeking highly motivated, organized, and detail-oriented candidates for a fall internship program. The office is conveniently located a few blocks from the National Mall.
As an intern, you will have the opportunity to work directly with FGS Global’s diverse client roster, gaining hands-on experience across strategic communications and government affairs. Interns will collaborate closely with dedicated and talented communications professionals.
Key responsibilities for the internship include:
• Monitoring market-moving news.
• Conducting comprehensive research.
• Covering Congressional hearings.
• Creating media lists.
• Supporting account teams as they assist a global roster of clients with their strategic communications needs and challenges.
Compensation and Work Requirements:
• Interns will be paid $21 per hour.
• The role requires in-office presence.
• A minimum commitment of 16 hours per week is required.
Required Qualifications for Candidates:
• Must be Juniors or Seniors enrolled in an undergraduate program.
• Possess a class schedule that allows for full days dedicated to the internship.
• Demonstrate eagerness and a strong desire to learn.
• Possess strong writing and editing skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Exhibit interest in and enthusiasm for communications and/or government affairs.
• Ability to manage multiple assignments and deadlines effectively.
• Possess excellent interpersonal skills.
The program aims to provide an instructive, productive, and enjoyable experience. Upon completion, interns are expected to leave FGS Global with a clear understanding of the business and relevant skills and knowledge pertaining to strategic communications and its various facets.
