Job Description:

This is a Fall 2025 Co-Op/Internship opportunity for a Solar & Energy Storage Electrical Engineering Student located in Plant City, Florida. The role involves assisting the Solar department in the daily operation and maintenance of solar and energy storage sites. The successful candidate will support the engineering team in tracking effective inspection, monitoring, environmental compliance, and preventative maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining data collection and predictive modeling tools for solar facilities and collector stations to help prioritize expenditures.
• Assist in system root cause analysis for solar facilities and collector stations, and track resulting action plans.
• Support the verification and management of each solar site’s as-built drawings.
• Assist in document creation to support operations and create standards for future growth.
• Assist the Solar Turnover group with walk-downs of sites before handover to Solar and Energy Storage Operations.
• Assist in the operation of all battery storage facilities, including creating operating procedures and schedules, and performing necessary testing.

Working Conditions:

• 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday.
• Both indoor and outdoor work in varying weather conditions.

Physical Demands:

• Ability to work in dusty and hot environments.
• Ability to ascend and descend from ladders and stairs.
• Walking (sometimes on uneven surfaces), bending, and driving as needed.
