Job Description (Detailed)

Job Title: Fall 2025 Semester Engineering Co-Op openings
Location: Toronto, Ohio Plant
Compensation: Paid, with housing stipend.
Term/Duration:
• Fall 2025 Semester.
• Minimum of a 3-month assignment.
• Part-time employment (20+ hrs/week) for 6-months also qualifies.

Engineering Functions Offered: Opportunities are available across multiple engineering functions including:
• Maintenance
• Quality
• Project Engineering
• Manufacturing Engineering/Continuous Improvement

Engineering Co-Op Summary:
The Co-Op will partner with engineering teams to assist in projects, outages, and mechanical breakdowns within the plant environment.

Essential Functions:
• Assist in developing, documenting, and improving preventive maintenance or continuous improvement programs to support the improvement of equipment availability and throughput.
• Provide support for equipment failures and loss of production.
• Assist in analyzing production delay data for establishing and documenting or modifying preventive maintenance tasks.
• Provide support for problem resolution to facilitate faster improvements and improved working relationships.
• Assist with Project Engineering duties.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities:
• Work with engineer(s) to prepare, coordinate, and maintain schedules for extended production outages and major maintenance work.
• Work with maintenance craftsmen and operations to meet department goals.

Qualifications:

Competencies:
• Basic knowledge of engineering.
• Interpersonal skills.
• Computer skills.

Education And Experience:
• Enrolled and completed 2+ years at an accredited university in Engineering or a similar discipline.
