Job Description:
Lettuce Entertain You is offering a Fall 2025 Internship Program in Chicago with a focus on Restaurant Management. This is an abbreviated program that combines educational meetings with practical restaurant experience.
• Program Structure:
• Educational Component: Bi-weekly meetings held from September 23 – December 16, 2025 at the Lettuce Corporate office on Chicago’s far northside. These meetings will feature Lettuce industry experts covering topics such as restaurant financials, menu creation, and marketing.
• Practical Component: Interns will be hired to work an hourly role in one of Lettuce Entertain You’s Illinois restaurants. The specific start and end dates for this portion will be determined in agreement with the restaurant operators and the intern.
• Responsibilities:
• Participate in designated program activities, including seminars, management feedback sessions, and group events.
• Perform essential functions and key responsibilities of the assigned hourly job (e.g., host, server, runner, busser, cook, etc.) as determined by the supervising manager at the designated restaurant.
• Safely operate all necessary tools and equipment.
• Work a variety of days and shifts, including weekends and nights.
• Communicate effectively to perform and follow job requirements in written and spoken directions.
• Multitask calmly and effectively in a busy and stressful environment.
• Work in confined and crowded spaces with variable light, noise, and temperature levels.
• Handle physical demands, including moving and lifting up to 50 pounds, and standing or sitting for extended periods.
• Requirements:
• Currently a junior year (or higher) college/university or culinary school student studying hospitality, culinary arts, or business.
• Ability to commute to the Lettuce Corporate office on Chicago’s far northside.
• Interns are responsible for their own housing and transportation.
• Compensation:
• USD $16.20 – USD $20.00 /Hr.
