Internship Opportunity:
Due to our continued rapid expansion, The Atrium is actively seeking to hire up to eight interns for the Fall 2020 semester. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the vibrant live music and arts scene.
Internship Cognates (Tracks):
Upon acceptance, interns will select one of six specialized cognates:
- Sound Engineer:
- You will be responsible for running all sound for live shows.
- Gain first-hand experience and learn how to run a live show from our preferred partners at Goedde Sound and Light.
- Lighting Engineering or Lighting Design:
- Learn on two separate lighting rigs, both running on Grand MA2 software.
- Initial focus (approx. 4 weeks) will be on learning the software, tempo control, and lighting progressions for shows in The Jungle.
- Subsequently, you will expand your skills on the lighting rig in The Atrium for the remainder of the internship.
- Photography:
- Develop skills in concert/event photography, mastering techniques for challenging lighting conditions and fast-paced crowd movements.
- The primary goal is to fully capture the “experience” of the venue and the specific moments during each show.
- You will receive a specific criteria for shots for every event.
- Approved content may be featured on all Kilroy’s social channels and digital platforms.
- Videography:
- Undertake different tasks for each concert/event, including shooting backstage, in the crowd, on the rail, and in the lighting booth.
- Your objective is to fully capture the “Experience” of the crowd.
- You will be required to create a short 30-second clip that encapsulates the night’s experience.
- Approved content may be featured on all Kilroy’s social channels and digital platforms.
- Marketing Operations:
- Gain exposure to various marketing disciplines including social media marketing, print marketing, and experiential marketing.
- Learn how to plan, execute, and measure the success of associated marketing strategies.
- Digital Marketing:
- Work across a comprehensive range of digital platforms.
- This includes, but is not limited to, social media, Eventbrite, Shopify, Website management, SEO, and all other digital music platforms.
