Job Description: Full-Time Faculty Pediatric Neuropsychologist
Cambridge Health Alliance (CHA) is seeking a full-time Faculty Pediatric Neuropsychologist to join its award-winning Division of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry within the Department of Psychiatry.
Key Responsibilities & Duties:
• Performing comprehensive neuropsychological assessments.
• Providing patient and family education.
• Engaging in consultation with colleagues across various medical, neurological, and mental health specialties.
• Offering occasional consultation to inpatient services, including neurodevelopmental, child, and adolescent units.
• Teaching and supervising psychology interns and postdoctoral fellows, contributing to the division’s robust and vibrant training program.
• Engaging in clinical research relevant to CHA’s community-oriented mission (encouraged).
Preferred Experience & Skills:
The ideal candidate will have experience in:
• Assessing cognitive and socio-emotional functioning associated with severe mental illness, particularly complex trauma, psychosis, and clinical high risk.
• Working with neurodevelopmental disorders.
• Addressing neurological/medical complications from early childhood to early adulthood.
• Experience in culturally diverse community health settings.
• Proficiency in cognitive remediation.
• Skills in providing multilingual and culturally-sensitive neuropsychological services are highly valued.
Work Environment & Team:
The successful applicant will join a dynamic team of adult and pediatric neuropsychologists within psychiatry, fostering consultation and collaboration. The child and adolescent psychiatry division provides sub-specialty care in neurodevelopmental disorders and early psychosis, offering outpatient care in two clinics, three high school-based clinics, and integrated care consultation in eleven primary care clinics. Academic Affiliation & Qualifications:
• The position includes a faculty appointment at Harvard Medical School (HMS).
• Applicants must hold a doctoral degree in clinical or counseling psychology from an APA/CPA accredited program.
• Completion of an APA/CPA accredited pre-doctoral internship is required.
• Completion of a postdoctoral residency in Neuropsychology is required.
• Candidates must be board certified or eligible for board certification.
• Licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts is required upon starting the position.
