About the Job: Facilities Planning Intern

This role is for a detail-oriented and tech-savvy intern to join the Global Workplace Services team at Brightstar. The primary focus is to support the team in shaping a dynamic, flexible office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Workplace Software Management: Utilize Robin Powered, a workplace experience software, to upload accurate floor plans, manage office space assignments, and visually document workspaces by uploading photos and room data.
Project Support: Assist with the planning and preparation for construction projects, including relocation management, in partnership with Facilities and Real Estate managers.
Daily Operations: Support day-to-day facilities operations and document management.
Space Allocation: Allocate and track office space assignments, including desk and room bookings.
Visual Documentation: Upload and manage images of meeting rooms and other office spaces within the digital tool.
Collaboration: Work closely with facilities and IT teams to ensure data accuracy and alignment with physical spaces.
Software Improvement: Assist with software testing and feedback to enhance user experience.
Documentation: Support the creation of documentation and best practices for future users of the tool.
Physical Tasks: Support office relocation and move efforts, including the ability to inventory existing space and lift up to 25lbs.

Qualifications:

Education: Currently pursuing a degree in facilities management, architecture, construction, business, engineering, or a related field.
Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to follow layout/space guidelines, and comfort in learning and using digital tools and workplace platforms.
Location: The role requires an onsite presence 5x a week in both Providence, RI and West Greenwich, RI, with the ability to travel between these sites.

Compensation and Benefits:

Hourly Pay: The estimated starting compensation for this position is $22.50 per hour. The actual pay offered may vary based on factors such as background, skills, experience, and work location.
