Job Description: Facilities Planning Intern

Summary of the Role:
Brightstar is seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Facilities Planning Intern to join their Global Workplace Services team. This role is crucial in developing and maintaining a dynamic, flexible office environment. The intern will primarily utilize the workplace experience software, Robin Powered, to accurately upload floor plans, manage office space assignments, and visually document workspaces by adding photos and room data. The position also involves supporting the planning and preparation for construction projects, including relocation management, in collaboration with Facilities and Real Estate managers. Additionally, the intern will assist with day-to-day facilities operations and document management. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals passionate about workplace design, facilities management, or the application of digital tools in a modern hybrid office setting.

Key Responsibilities:

Space Management:
• Allocate and track office space assignments, including desk and room bookings within the designated software.
• Upload and manage images of meeting rooms and other office spaces within the digital tool.
Data Accuracy & Collaboration:
• Collaborate closely with facilities and IT teams to ensure the accuracy of data and its alignment with the physical office spaces.
Software & Documentation Support:
• Assist with software testing and provide feedback to enhance the user experience of the workplace platform.
• Support the creation of documentation and best practices to guide future users of the tool.
Operations & Logistics:
• Support office relocation and move efforts, including planning and execution.
• Conduct inventory of existing space and possess the ability to lift up to 25 lbs.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing a degree in a relevant field such as facilities management, architecture, construction, business, or engineering.
• Demonstrates strong attention to detail and the ability to accurately follow layout and space guidelines.
• Comfortable with learning and utilizing various digital tools and workplace platforms.
• Must be able to work onsite 5 days a week in Providence and West Greenwich, with the ability to travel between the two sites.

Compensation & Benefits:

Hourly Rate: The estimated starting compensation for this position is $22.50 per hour. The final pay offered may vary based on factors such as background, skills, experience, and work location. Brightstar ensures compliance with all local pay requirements and collective bargaining agreements where applicable.
