Description: External Audit Intern/Trainee
This internship offers the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field of external audit, working alongside experienced professionals to provide assurance and business advice to clients. You’ll be involved in a variety of tasks, including:
• Supporting select phases of a financial statement audit: This could involve reviewing financial records, analyzing data, and preparing audit documentation.
• Supporting select projects: You’ll have the opportunity to work on various projects, demonstrating your initiative and creative thinking.
• Building relationships with team members: You’ll collaborate with a team of problem solvers, building relationships and learning from experienced professionals.
• Seeking guidance and feedback: You’ll proactively seek guidance from mentors and supervisors to enhance your skills and understanding.
• Prioritizing and completing tasks: You’ll demonstrate your ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and exercise professional skepticism.
Key responsibilities as an intern/trainee include:

Ideal candidate profile:
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting with a minimum GPA of 3.0.
• Experience: Entry-level position, typically for students in their 3rd or 4th year of their undergraduate program.
• Knowledge/Skills: Demonstrates an interest in auditing and a desire to pursue a career in public accounting. Possesses basic knowledge of financial accounting, managerial accounting, taxation, and financial reporting systems. Demonstrates ability to research and analyze client, industry, and technical matters. Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and communication skills.
Additional Requirements:
• Certification: Must meet all educational requirements to be eligible for the CPA license in the state where your office will be located.
