About the Express Lane Service Advisor Role at H.E. McGonigal Cadillac Buick GMC

H. E. McGonigal Cadillac Buick GMC, a proud member of the Chariot Automotive Group, is seeking a motivated and dynamic Express Lane Service Advisor to join our team. This role is crucial as the Express Lane Service Advisor often provides the first impression of our dealership, setting the tone for a positive customer experience.

We are looking for individuals who can greet customers promptly, courteously, and with an understanding and caring attitude. Key responsibilities include scheduling oil changes, selling additional express lane products, and ensuring customer satisfaction.

Key Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a Customer Satisfaction Index (CSI) rating that meets or exceeds manufacturer, zone, or branch averages.
  • Greet customers promptly and courteously; acknowledge customers waiting in line to assure them they will be helped soon.
  • Efficiently schedule and route service work daily to maximize shop efficiency, maintain quality standards, and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Continuously update and maintain the daily route sheet, reflecting the current status of all vehicles in the Express Lane.
  • Stay informed about the progress of all jobs, repair statuses, potential delays, and parts availability.
  • Keep customers consistently updated on their vehicle’s repair needs and estimated completion times.
  • Educate customers on proper vehicle care and emphasize the importance of maintaining their vehicles according to manufacturer specifications.
  • Deliver completed vehicles to customers and thoroughly answer any questions they may have.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Exemplary customer service skills are a must.
  • Strong ability to read and comprehend instructions and information.
  • Proven ability to work effectively and thrive in a very fast-paced environment.
  • Previous dealership experience is beneficial, but not strictly required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license with no suspensions or major violations in the last 7 years is required.
  • Must present oneself in a professional manner, both in appearance and actions.
