Events Intern

This role supports the planning and execution of events of various sizes and complexity for the Disneyland Resort and other Disney Experiences Communications Events businesses.

Responsibilities:

Conceptualization: Participate in the ideation of events, programs, and business-driving projects.
Collaboration: Work with internal and external partners to develop and implement events.
Event Support: Provide on-the-ground support during the event development process, including execution.
Cross-Team Collaboration: Build relationships and share ideas across various teams within the company.
Project Documentation: Contribute to the development, updating, and prioritization of event planning documents (agendas, achievements, itineraries, tracking grids, presentations, etc.).

Flexibility: Willingness to work occasional nights and weekends.
Physical Demands: Ability to meet physical demands for extended periods.

Preferred Qualifications:

Events Experience: Knowledge and experience working within the events space.
Media Landscape Awareness: Curiosity about the current media landscape and its impact on reputation and business results.
Creative Storytelling: Desire to participate in creative storytelling through event design and guest experiences.

Education Requirements:

• Enrolled in an accredited college/university (taking at least one class), recent graduate (within 6 months), or currently participating in a Disney College Program or Disney Internship.
• Preferred majors or coursework: Events, Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or a related field.

Eligibility Requirements:

• At least 18 years of age.
• Not completed one year of continual employment on a Disney internship or program.
• Unrestricted work authorization.

Additional Information:

• Adherence to The Disney Look appearance guidelines.
• Consistent and reliable work schedule throughout the internship (Monday-Friday, including some nights/weekends).
• 40 hours per week.
• Own housing in the Anaheim, CA area.
• Reliable transportation.

Compensation:

• Pay rate: $22.00 per hour (California).
• Select benefits may be provided (medical, financial, etc.).

Program Dates:

• January 2025 through June 2025.
