The Facilities Department supports ministry by maintaining the property and preparing spaces for various events.

Job Description:

This is an Event Set-Up Intern position within the Facilities Department at Calvary Chapel’s Fort Lauderdale Campus. The intern will report to the Event Set-up Supervisor and work approximately 25 hours per week, across 5 days.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the Event Set-up Supervisor in coordinating event needs.
• Attend meetings with other departments to discuss upcoming events.
• Prepare daily event reports and communicate them to operations teams.
• Help with the set-up and breakdown of events.
• Manage and track inventory.
• Attend the weekly Events team small group.
• Occasionally share a devotional in a group setting.

• Develop professional communication skills in ministry and client relations.
• Improve efficiency and proactivity in job duties.

Work Schedule:

• Tuesday: 8 AM – 1 PM
• Wednesday: 8 AM – 1 PM
• Thursday: 8 AM – 1 PM
• Friday: 9 AM – 5 PM (Intern cohort from 9 AM – 2 PM)
• Saturday: 1 PM – 6 PM

The schedule may vary depending on campus-wide events. The role may require prolonged periods of bending, sitting, or standing, and the ability to lift, pull, push, and/or move up to 35 lbs.
