Event Facilities Technician Intern
Job Summary
The Event Facilities Technician Intern is a valued member of the Rock Events Venues team, playing a pivotal role in maintaining and meticulously preparing multiple event spaces within our diverse portfolio. This position is fundamental to supporting venue operations by efficiently setting up furniture, ensuring impeccable cleanliness, and providing essential assistance to clients and vendors throughout events.
We are seeking enthusiastic self-starters who demonstrate a strong sense of urgency and are constantly looking for innovative ways to enhance venue quality and elevate the client experience. Our ultimate goal is to consistently deliver a world-class event experience – every single time.
Responsibilities
- Review event details thoroughly with on-site event managers and effectively prioritize tasks for each specific event.
- Set up, configure, and efficiently dismantle event spaces according to event specifications, which includes arranging seating, tables, stages, and other essential event furnishings.
- Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness throughout the space by meticulously wiping down hard surfaces, cleaning glass, sweeping and mopping floors, and vacuuming carpeted areas.
- Refresh restrooms and change trash receptacles promptly before, during, and after events.
- Assist with the smooth load-in and load-out of equipment, furniture, and supplies.
- Provide dedicated on-site support to ensure complete client and vendor satisfaction.
- Conduct regular walkthroughs of all event areas to proactively maintain cleanliness and uphold presentation standards.
- Reset event spaces to meet or exceed venue expectations immediately following each event.
- Remain flexible and responsive to event updates and changes as they occur, adapting quickly to new requirements.
- Assist with events across multiple venue spaces, including designated outdoor areas.
Preferred Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to routinely lift up to 75 pounds.
- Valid driver’s license required.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and mandatory overtime as needed.
- Basic computer skills strongly preferred.
