Estimator | Concrete Frame Associates

The Tone:
This is a full-time role at Concrete Frame Associates. Concrete Frame Associates specializes in various construction projects, focusing on concrete structures. This Estimator position is critical for developing accurate and competitive bids, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective construction systems are planned and incorporated from the very beginning of multiple projects.

• Mission: To prepare accurate and competitive bids by analyzing project plans, specifications, and historical data, thereby supporting the integration of safe, efficient, and cost-effective systems from project inception.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Estimation: Prepare accurate take-offs and estimates for projects that range from small to large and complex.
• Communication: Communicate effectively with general contractors, suppliers, and sub-contractors regarding project details.
• Proposal Development: Prepare comprehensive scope proposals for submission to general contractors.
• Project Optimization: Support the planning and estimating stages to ensure the most efficient, safe, and economical form systems are incorporated during bid time.
• Data Analysis: Gather, calculate, and compile data for bid proposal estimates, reviewing and incorporating historical information for accuracy.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related engineering field.
• Experience: Two years’ experience reading structural drawings and performing computer-aided take-offs and estimates.
• Skills: Knowledge of concrete construction, ability to interpret structural drawings, proficiency in computer-aided take-offs, and skill in compiling and calculating data for bid proposals.
