Role Description: Estimating Intern

This is an on-site internship role for an Estimating Intern located in McKinney, TX. The Estimating Intern will assist with preparing cost estimates, analyzing project requirements, and performing quantity take-offs from engineering drawings. Duties may also include collaborating with project managers, sourcing pricing information from suppliers and vendors, and supporting the overall bidding process. The role offers hands-on exposure to construction project planning and estimation processes in the specialized field of water and wastewater infrastructure.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical and mathematical skills for cost analysis and estimation
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other relevant software tools
• Familiarity with reading engineering drawings and construction documents
• Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving and organizational skills
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with internal teams and external vendors
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with deadlines
• Previous experience or coursework in construction estimating is a plus
