This role is crucial for managing complex legal workflows with precision and maintaining close client interaction. • Mission: To efficiently manage estate planning, probate, and guardianship legal processes while ensuring ethical client service and accurate financial record-keeping.
• Tech Stack: Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Practice Panther (plus), Westlaw Form Builder, Wealth Counsel (preferred)
What You’ll Actually Do
• Manage: Oversee the complete workflow for Probate and Guardianship cases from start to finish.
• Prepare: Draft, proofread, and finalize essential legal documents for Estate Planning matters.
• Account: Develop and comprehend intricate guardianship and estate accountings.
• Bill: Input daily time entries for client billing and review entries for accuracy and reasonableness.
• Serve: Deliver robust client service and communication, adhering strictly to ethical guidelines regarding confidentiality and authorized practice of law.
The Must-Haves
• Background: Paralegal with a specialized focus and understanding of Estate Planning, Probate, and Guardianship.
• Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience specifically as a paralegal in estate planning, probate, and guardianship.
• Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to prepare guardianship and estate accountings; strong understanding of ethical rules governing paralegal practice; excellent time management and communication skills.
• Bonus: Experience with office management software like Practice Panther, familiarity with Westlaw Form Builder and probate/guardianship procedures, experience with Wealth Counsel or similar estate planning software, ability to type at least 40 words per minute, and capacity to notarize documents.
