ERS Marketing Intern

Job Summary

Join the ERS and HVM Marketing Team in Westerville, OH as an ERS Marketing Intern. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience across various marketing functions, including market analysis, marketing communications, digital marketing, and service marketing projects. You will collaborate extensively with diverse internal teams such as regional sales, business development, major accounts, Vertiv Marketing, the web team, and senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Customer & Market Information Analysis: Enhance customer contact quality within lead management tools; analyze databases to generate customer targets/lists to support marketing campaigns and program execution; research market segments to guide planning and execution.
  • Sales Success Story Development: Work with sellers to capture sales wins and communicate them across the organization; generate compelling customer case studies from this content.
  • PR & Article Development: Collaborate with external agencies and internal Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to develop article placements.
  • Digital Campaign Execution: Support the team in developing, executing, and analyzing Google Advertising and email marketing campaigns.
  • Website & SEO Enhancement: Work with corporate SEO and marketing teams to help implement actions and content that improve the SEO performance of our ERS/HVM/ETI websites.
  • Social Media Management: Continue to build and support our social media communities for ERS/HVM/ETI; create new social media content.
  • Virtual Event Management: Plan and manage corporate presence at online virtual events, including webinars.
  • Service Portfolio Marketing Support: Assist with product marketing and campaigns to drive opportunities for our service portfolio (core and Center of Excellence business).

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Education: Undergraduate or Graduate student with an emphasis on marketing, marketing communications, or a related focus.

Additional / Preferred Qualifications:

  • Technical Proficiency:
    • Proficient user of Microsoft Office, with a strong working knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
    • Understanding of social media channels and practices, especially LinkedIn.
    • Experience with Canva, HubSpot, PowerBI is a plus.
  • Skills & Attributes:
    • Strong data analysis skills to conduct market segmentation and determine potential sales targets.
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.
    • Ability to work collaboratively with team members and remote resources.
    • Ability to work independently and take initiative.
    • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
    • Detail-oriented and hardworking.
    • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills.
    • Analytical thinker.

Amount of Travel Needed

Up to 10% may be required.
