Job Description: Equine Surgical Internship

The Equine Surgical Internship at Bluegrass Equine Surgery is a structured program designed to meet the evolving demands of the equine industry. Its primary goal is to provide interns with extensive clinical training and practical experience in equine surgery and related disciplines.

Interns participating in this program will gain direct exposure to case management under the direct supervision of board-certified specialists. The program is specifically structured to prepare interns for residency training or advanced clinical practice within the equine veterinary field.

The internship includes dedicated clinical rotations across key disciplines:
Surgery: 13 weeks
Radiology & Imaging: 10 weeks
Anesthesia: 5 weeks
Lameness: 10 weeks

To be eligible for the program, candidates must be eligible for licensure to practice veterinary medicine in the United States. It is important to note that visa sponsorship is not available for graduates who do not meet the licensure eligibility requirement.
