Environmental Summer Internship at Georgia-Pacific
This 12-week summer internship offers an exceptional opportunity to build skills and prepare for a career in environmental fields within a manufacturing setting. Interns will gain hands-on experience managing environmental obligations in a manufacturing environment, contributing to environmental excellence and sustainability efforts.
Key responsibilities include:
• Becoming an integral part of a facility team at a designated GP manufacturing location.
• Working closely with an experienced mentor to receive practical training and apply environmental practices.
• Gaining exposure to business and manufacturing processes.
• Participating in activities that drive environmental excellence and sustainability.
• Understanding, developing, and applying Principle Based Management™.
The internship program provides:

Qualifications:
• Rising Sophomore or Junior in a bachelor’s degree program or alternative program (e.g., 2-year technical college program, certificate program, upskilling program).
• Ability to relocate per program requirements.
• Legal authorization to work permanently in the United States without requiring a visa transfer or sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Enrolled in an Environmental Science, Environmental Management, Environmental Health, Natural Sciences, or related Engineering degree program.
Compensation:
• The expected hourly rate for this role is $27 – $30.
