Job Description
This Opportunity
WSP USA hosts hundreds of interns across the United States to gain hands-on, meaningful work experience to enhance their education and professional aptitude. This is an entry level intern position and with responsibilities covering supervision of drilling and construction/remediation contractors, collection of soil and groundwater samples, data collection during pumping tests and other tasks. These tasks are in support of a wide variety of projects ranging from environmental investigations to water-supply development. Our Earth & Environment Team is seeking a part-time Environmental Engineering Intern – Fall 2025 to work out of our Shelton, CT office. This temporary position is seeking individuals currently enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate degree program.
This internship is anticipated to take place during the Fall 2025 Semester.
Your Impact
• Support a variety of engineering tasks with the goal to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Engineering as they relate to Environmental Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary data analysis and reporting.
• Assist with supervision of drilling and construction/remediation contractors, collection of soil and groundwater samples, data collection during pumping tests and other tasks.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
