What You’ll Actually Do
• Modeling Support: Assist with air dispersion modeling activities, ensuring all work adheres to specific project requirements and regulatory guidelines.
• Emission Calculations: Perform calculations for air emissions, identify and determine applicable control technologies, and meticulously document process details to guarantee full regulatory compliance.
• Permit Preparation: Prepare a range of necessary documents including permit applications, amendments, standard exemptions, source inventories, and emission fee calculations for submission to relevant state agencies.
• Regulatory Analysis: Review both existing and proposed environmental regulations, then summarize their potential impacts and implications for various industrial operations.
• Project Data & Reporting: Support overall project teams by accurately compiling essential data, preparing comprehensive reports, and effectively communicating results both internally within the company and externally to clients.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Experience: No specific prior professional experience is required beyond academic pursuit; however, proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite is essential.
• Skills: Demonstrated strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, coupled with excellent verbal and written communication skills, and an interest in environmental regulations, air quality, and sustainability.
• Bonus: Prior experience with modeling software.
