This internship opportunity is with a company seeking an Environmental Compliance Intern to join their Permits, Compliance, & Engineering (PC&E) team. The intern will play a supportive role in air/waste/water permitting, engineering construction, and overall environmental compliance efforts.

Detailed Job Description:

The Environmental Compliance Intern will be responsible for a variety of tasks that blend field work, data analysis, and regulatory research.

Key Responsibilities:

Data Collection & Analysis: Participate in field site visits to collect data, analyze findings, produce technical reports, tabulate data, and create charts, graphs, and sketches to support engineering and compliance initiatives.
Regulatory Research & Permitting: Research and summarize environmental regulations and their applicability to company facilities. Collaborate with facility management to maintain local, state, and federal permits, including compiling and preparing permit applications, and managing electronic and hard copy filing of documents.
Engineering Support: Participate in engineering design, contractor procurement, and construction management meetings and site visits to contribute to successful facility development projects.
Cost Analysis: Compile, organize, and analyze engineering and capital construction costs, including third-party contractor and consultant bids.
Program Development & Implementation: Assist in the development and implementation of new or revised environmental resource programs, policies, procedures, and methods of operation, and provide recommendations for enhancements to ensure effective systems and services.
Training & Development: Participate in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales, and services.
General Support: Perform any other duties needed to help drive the company’s vision, fulfill its mission, and abide by its core values.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or related degree program.
• Legal eligibility to work in the US.
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to travel among company facilities.
