What You’ll Actually Do
• Structural Design: Perform structural design and evaluation of concrete and steel structures.
• Civil Design: Conduct general civil design on hydroelectric projects under the direction of mid-to-senior level staff.
• Field Inspection: Travel for structural inspections, including penstocks, surge tanks, and dam infrastructure condition assessments.
• Construction Support: Provide construction support services for various projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Science, or Bachelor of Engineering in Civil Engineering with a concentration in Structural Engineering.
• Experience: Knowledge of standards and codes applicable to structural engineering; experience with structural modeling software (e.g., RISA-3D, SAP2000), CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, Civil3D), and other engineering software (e.g., MathCAD).
• Skills: Ability to work effectively with a multidisciplinary team, applying engineering skills throughout the project life cycle; excellent oral and written communication skills; working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Bonus: Must possess permanent authorization to work in the United States, able to acquire authorization to work in Canada, willingness to travel, and possess a valid driver’s license.
