About the Job: Entry Level Service Technician

Are you a mechanically inclined individual with a passion for cars and a desire to grow in the automotive industry? AutoNation is seeking an Entry Level Service Technician to join our team. This role is perfect for someone with a foundational understanding of vehicle systems who is eager to learn and follow established procedures to perform quality work.

Compensation:

This position offers $25 per hour, with the final rate based on your experience, certifications, and education.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities:

• Perform vehicle maintenance tasks efficiently and accurately, following repair orders and adhering to both dealership and factory standards. Your work directly contributes to Customer loyalty.
• Maintain clear and regular communication with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to ensure smooth production flow and effective Customer updates.
• Meticulously document all work performed on each vehicle on the corresponding repair order.
• Stay current with factory technical bulletins and actively participate in factory-sponsored training classes to enhance your skills and knowledge.
• Provide an exceptional customer experience, fostering loyalty and trust.

Measuring Your Success:

Your performance as a Service Technician will be evaluated based on achieving specific targets in the following areas:

• Targeted Production: Efficiently completing assigned maintenance tasks.
• Targeted Sales: Contributing to service-related sales goals.
• Targeted Customer Satisfaction Index: Ensuring high levels of customer happiness with your service.

Requirements for this Job:

• Education: High School diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 1+ year of experience as an express/quick lube technician.
• Skills:
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to consistently follow established processes to ensure quality and safety.
• License: Valid in-state driver’s license with a maintained acceptable, safe driving record.
