Entry Level Roofer

Location: Rutland, VT

We are actively seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Entry Level Roofer to join our team in Rutland, VT! This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to start a career in commercial roofing, as we are committed to training the right candidates.

Job Summary:

Under the direct supervision of the crew’s Foreman, the Entry Level Roofer will be an integral part of our team, assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of various commercial roofing systems. This includes working with materials such as EPDM, TPO, and PVC.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the installation of commercial roofing systems.
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on existing roofs.
  • Learn and apply proper techniques for EPDM, TPO, and PVC roofing.
  • Follow all instructions from the crew Foreman diligently.
  • Adhere strictly to job specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Maintain a professional demeanor and strong work ethic on all job sites.

Entry Level Roofer Requirements:

  • Commercial roofing experience preferred but not required – we will train the right individuals!
  • Ability to regularly lift 25+ lbs. and occasionally lift 50+ lbs.
  • Capability to work effectively in an outdoor setting, adapting to varying weather conditions.
  • Comfortable with physical activities including bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders.
  • Strong ability to follow instructions and perform work in accordance with job specifications and safety guidelines.
  • Commitment to maintaining a strong level of professionalism.
  • Possession of reliable transportation to and from job sites/warehouse.
  • Demonstrated strong communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions:

  • Physical Surroundings: Field environment with regular exposure to heights, varying noise levels, and diverse temperature conditions.
  • Physical Effort: Requires extensive standing, walking, and climbing ladders. Frequent lifting and other physical demands are an expected part of the role.
