Job Description

The Entry-Level Line Cook position at Hyatt Regency Boston Cambridge is ideal for individuals passionate about culinary arts who are eager to begin their career in a dynamic culinary environment. Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in food preparation, which includes tasks like chopping, cutting, and marinating ingredients.
• Accurately follow recipes and cooking techniques to ensure the consistent production of high-quality dishes.
• Cook and plate menu items in accordance with established culinary standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and adherence to hygiene standards.
• Assist in the stocking and management of inventory levels for kitchen supplies.
• Collaborate effectively with the culinary team, contributing to the development and refinement of recipes.
• Strictly adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Provide support in various kitchen duties as assigned by senior culinary staff.

Qualifications:
• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Culinary arts education or relevant training is considered a plus.
• Possession of basic knowledge of food preparation techniques and common kitchen equipment.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and efficiently handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Strong attention to detail and a genuine passion for cooking are essential.
• A willingness to learn and readily take direction from senior chefs.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills are necessary for effective collaboration.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Salary Range:
The salary for this position is USD $22.00 per hour.
