What You’ll Actually Do
• Financial Reporting: Prepare month-end close activities, including the analysis of financial information to create journal entries impacting the financial condition of AHM/HDMA with supervision.
• Performance Analysis: Prepare detailed budget versus actual comparisons for assigned departments, ensuring accuracy based on professional accounting standards and advising management on future activities.
• Budget Development: Collaborate with department managers and investment project leaders to create six annual budget events, applying analytical skills and professional accounting knowledge.
• Strategic Communication: Utilize financial information to develop and deliver presentations that inform department leaders of budget-to-actual conditions and propose areas for improvement.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree with a major in accounting or finance, or an associate’s degree combined with a minimum of two years of accounting-related job experience.
• Experience: 0-2 years of experience with a bachelor’s degree, or a minimum of two years of experience with an associate’s degree, in an accounting-related role.
• Skills: Foundational knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)/International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and cost accounting principles. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and SAP.
