Financial Analyst | Zavation Medical Products, LLC

The Tone:
This is an entry-level opportunity at Zavation Medical Products, LLC. The company is a growing manufacturing organization that produces medical products. This role is an excellent opportunity for a recent graduate or early-career professional to build a career in financial planning, business analysis, and manufacturing finance. The Financial Analyst will support critical financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and operational decision-making for the business.

The TL;DR

• Team: Reports to Accounting Manager; collaborates with Accounting, Operations, Purchasing, Production, and Sales.
• Mission: Support financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and operational decision-making to improve profitability and efficiency.
• Tech Stack: Macola ERP system, Power BI dashboards, commission management software, AI tools (Microsoft Copilot, ChatGPT, generative AI applications).

What You’ll Actually Do
• Reporting & Analysis: Prepare and analyze daily, weekly, and monthly financial and operational reports, including manufacturing costs, inventory, labor, material usage, and production variances.
• Financial Planning: Assist with the monthly financial close, account reconciliations, and support budgeting, forecasting, and annual planning processes.
• Commission Management: Maintain and update commission software, ensuring accurate commission calculations and reporting, and resolving discrepancies with Sales and Management.
• Operational Support: Support Accounts Receivable by monitoring customer accounts, assisting with collections, and researching payment discrepancies to help reduce outstanding receivables.
• Strategic Insights: Identify trends and provide recommendations to improve profitability, cash flow, and operational efficiency, utilizing AI-powered tools and partnering with internal departments for financial insights.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field, suitable for an entry-level or early-career professional.
• Experience: Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including formulas, PivotTables, and data analysis, are required.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, excellent written and verbal communication abilities, and a high degree of attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Bonus: Prior internship or experience in manufacturing, finance, accounting, or business analysis; familiarity with ERP systems (Macola is a plus); experience with Microsoft Power BI or other business intelligence tools; experience using AI tools like Microsoft Copilot or ChatGPT for productivity; or a basic understanding of manufacturing accounting concepts (inventory, average costing, production reporting, and accounts receivable).
