Job Description:
Blue Origin is hiring for multiple engineering positions across various business units. Candidates will be placed on a team based on their skills and experience, and current business needs. The company offers specialized early career development, mentorship, relocation assistance, and the opportunity to contribute directly to top company goals.
Responsibilities (may vary depending on the specific business unit):
• Work encompassing many aspects of applied electronics and electrical engineering. This includes avionics hardware (from PCBs to electrical systems), software, hardware-in-the-loop testing, instrumentation & controls, system testing, power systems, communication systems, mechanical systems, propulsion systems, manufacturing, and systems engineering.
• Enforcing safety policies during test planning and operations.
Qualifications:
• Must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident, or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
• Minimum of a B.S. in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience, earned within the last year, with a start date by Fall 2025.
• Experience with: Applied electronics and electrical engineering (avionics hardware, software, hardware-in-the-loop); CAD software (AutoCAD or similar); reading and interpreting engineering drawings; analyzing and troubleshooting electrical systems; relevant internships/co-ops demonstrating technical and leadership skills; and building trust and positive professional relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team on rapid development programs; flexible and adaptable mindset; self-driven and able to work with minimal direction.
Desired Qualifications:
• Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Hands-on project experience.
• Experience with: Design and testing of avionics (electrical, mechanical); electrical systems focused on reliability and efficiency; circuit design; C, C++, Matlab, Simulink.
