What You’ll Actually Do
• Engineering Application: Apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to assignments under direct supervision.
• Field & Inspection Work: Execute sub-professional engineering tasks including conducting field work and performing inspections for various projects.
• Documentation & Design: Prepare engineering reports, draft necessary permits, and perform simple design calculations.
• Project Coordination: Coordinate with contractors to ensure project alignment and review construction drawings and specifications for accuracy and compliance.
• Regulatory Liaison: Contact government officials to secure necessary permits for projects.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor of Science (B.S.) in Civil or Environmental Engineering.
• Experience: No prior professional engineering experience required beyond academic studies; valid driver’s license is necessary.
• Skills: Basic understanding of engineering principles, excellent verbal and written communication abilities, and attention to detail.
• Bonus: A graduate degree and/or Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam certification are a plus.
