Job Description:
Mott MacDonald is seeking enthusiastic and talented individuals to contribute to their expanding US operations. The position is for a 2025 start and involves working alongside seasoned professionals on a variety of projects within the chosen area of interest. The role offers exposure to different aspects of the engineering lifecycle, from conceptual design to detailed drawings and report writing.
Responsibilities (with guidance from experienced professionals):
• Developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed designs.
• Participating in site inspections, investigations, and monitoring.
• Contributing to project, client, and team meetings.
• Reviewing, preparing, and modifying designs.
• Analyzing reports, specifications, and studies.
• Gaining experience in project, commercial, and client management.
• Utilizing a “digital by default” approach in deliverables.
• Actively participating in the Early Careers Professionals Network.
• Supporting the company’s purpose-driven initiatives.
Qualifications:
• Working towards a bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited university.
• Methodical problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including technical drawing and report writing abilities.
• Strong teamwork skills and ability to collaborate effectively.
• Working towards Professional Engineer (PE) certification.
• Demonstrated interest in engineering projects (through internships, volunteering, relevant association memberships, etc. – considered an asset).
