What You’ll Actually Do
• Lead Frameworks: Lead and support the development, enhancement, and operational execution of MFS’ AI governance and AI risk management framework.
• Assess Risk: Conduct and facilitate risk assessments for AI, generative AI, machine learning, intelligent automation, and advanced analytics.
• Evaluate Controls: Evaluate the design and effectiveness of AI-related governance controls, risk indicators, monitoring routines, and documentation practices.
• Advise Stakeholders: Serve as a trusted advisor and independent risk partner to stakeholders exploring, implementing, or operating AI-enabled business capabilities.
• Monitor Environment: Monitor and evaluate evolving AI-related regulatory expectations, supervisory themes, and industry practices relevant to investment management and financial services.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience in risk (enterprise, AI governance, operational, or IT risk), investment management, financial services, or industry-related compliance.
• Experience: 6-8 years’ work experience in risk or related fields, with demonstrated ability to conduct or facilitate risk assessments, control evaluations, issue management, and management reporting.
• Skills: Knowledge of AI governance, AI risk management, generative AI, intelligent automation, and emerging technology risk. Strong understanding of governance frameworks, risk assessment methodologies, internal control concepts, risk appetite, and risk reporting. Ability to assess AI-related risks and translate technical risks into practical business, control, and governance considerations for senior stakeholders.
• Bonus: Experience with Governance, Risk & Compliance (GRC) tools. Experience with risk analytics, data visualization, and reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI. Experience within investment management, asset management, fund administration, or fund treasury organizations. Experience implementing or overseeing AI governance programs.
