Enterprise Credit Summer Analyst | Bank of America

The Tone:
This is an early career, 10-week summer internship program at Bank of America, a major financial institution. Located across various US cities including Atlanta, Boston, Charlotte, Chicago, Dallas, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, San Francisco, and Seattle, this role is crucial for supporting Bank of America’s Enterprise Credit functions. Interns will gain broad exposure to credit underwriting, monitoring, business controls, and credit data management, directly contributing to the bank’s ability to assess and mitigate financial risks. The program aims to build essential technical, analytical, and professional skills for future credit professionals.

What You’ll Actually Do
• Analyze: Assess creditworthiness and risk drivers by examining client, company, and/or transaction financial information.
• Evaluate: Complete cash-flow, trend, and scenario analysis to determine the ability of entities to incur and repay obligations.
• Structure: Support loan structuring discussions and assist with the preparation of documentation and approval materials.
• Review: Evaluate collateral and ensure that all requirements are met in accordance with established policy and procedures.
• Collaborate: Participate in client or internal partner meetings and calls to develop comprehensive portfolio, product, and business knowledge.

The Must-Haves
• Background: Bachelor’s degree or Bachelor’s direct-to-Master’s degree from an accredited college or university, with a major in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration/Management, or a related field. Candidates should be in their penultimate year of school.
• Experience: Master’s candidates should have no more than 0 years of professional experience. Bank of America is unable to consider candidates who will require visa sponsorship now, or in the future.
• Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with keen attention to detail, strong verbal and written communication skills, and proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
• Bonus: A minimum GPA of 3.5 is preferred, along with intellectual curiosity, an operational excellence mindset, a strong work ethic, and demonstrated teamwork and leadership experience.
